The CLS FX series loudspeakers are a miniature column array specifically optimized for use with flat panel displays in retail, digital signage and conference room environments. The array characteristic limits horizontal dispersion and keeps the sound focused in front of the display, limiting noise contamination to adjacent spaces. The CLS FX has a built in stereo amplifier and DSP providing the illusion of a much larger loudspeaker through the use of virtual bass processing. Because virtual bass is a psychoacoustic illusion, the bass effect also becomes directional and does not spread to adjacent spaces, making the CLS perfect for hotels or other noise sensitive environments.

The CLS FX series comes in two driver sizes and two standard lengths. The CLS 2 version uses 2" speakers, and the CLS 3 version uses 3" speakers, extending the frequency response. Each of these versions come in two lengths that fit standard 42" and 50" plasma screens. The CLS series can also be ordered in custom lengths and powder coat colors.

The flat panel display loudspeaker shall be a stereo/mono switchable column array with quantity (6) 2" drivers per channel or (4) 3" drivers per channel. The loudspeaker shall contain an integrated audio power amplifier and digital signal processor. The digital signal processor shall extend the perceived low frequency output of the loudspeaker through a psychoacoustic effect and shall provide optimum equalization for the loudspeaker itself. The input level to the loudspeaker shall nominally be line level at consumer standard –10 dBu with an internally mounted level attenuation knob for adjustment to PC 1V levels or overall level trim. The connection to the loudspeaker shall be via a 5 foot long cable tail terminated with male RCA connectors. The cable tail may be replaced or shortened by accessing a terminal block behind the loudspeaker end cap. The loudspeaker shall be encased in an extruded aluminium housing powder coated flat black and covered with a metal perforated metal grille with a matching finish. The low frequency limit shall be 350 Hz with a sensitivity of 97 dB in mono mode (CLS2 model) or a low frequency limit of 180 Hz with a sensitivity of 97 dB (CL3 model). The flat panel display loudspeaker shall be the CLS 2 FX 100 or 125, or the CLS 3 FX 100 or 125.
